This is the first in a series of Safyr releases that will provide significantly enhanced capabilities for extracting and exploring metadata from SAP BW systems. Ultimately this development process will culminate in the ability to identify the relationships between BW Infoproviders and BW Queries.
This initiative is designed to help to ensure that customers can more easily and quickly access and make use of SAP BW in the context of self-service data analytics and enterprise data catalog projects.
In addition, this version of the product adds some new features and fixes which are applicable for broader range of ERP and CRM packages Safyr supports.
The key developments in Safyr Version 7.2 deliver the following:
- Enhancing the ability of users to identify SAP BW Objects more easily and accurately through improved naming functions.
- Accelerating understanding of SAP BW data structures by the automated identification and grouping of SAP BW InfoObjects in the context of InfoArea applications.
- Enabling a holistic view of the Data Store Objects (DSO) by surfacing their relationships to BW InfoObjects.
- Facilitating an easier understanding of the SAP BW metadata by giving users the option to remove the Safyr Physical Representation of BW objects. This is often not required for data projects.

Safyr 7.2 is available free of charge to existing customers with up-to-date support and maintenance contracts or who have a current subscription licence for Safyr.
